Tighes Hill Gallery

The Tighes Hill Gallery opened on 23.10.03 with a group exhibition of 23 emerging and established Newcastle artists. The goal of the gallery is to provide space and exposure for Newcastle, Hunter Valley, interstate and international artists in today’s contempory, corporate and domestic environment. The director Diana Middleby has 20 years experience in the art industry.

Gallery Relocation

Dear Customers, Patrons and Artists of The Tighes Hill Gallery,

Due to the overwhelming demand for quality art work in the Newcastle and Hunter region, the Tighes Hill Gallery has outgrown the premises at 3 Elizabeth St Tighes Hill and we are presently negotiating with a number of parties for new and larger premises to relocate and expand the Tighes Hill Gallery.

We are determined to stay in the Tighes Hill area and therefore our new gallery and existing website will retain the name Tighes Hill Gallery.

Because of this development we will be closing the original gallery at 3 Elizabeth Street Tighes Hill on Monday 6th November 2006 and would like all of our artists and customers who have art works stored at the gallery to collect their work before this closing date.

As the negotiations for our new site progress we will keep our valued patrons and artists informed of our progress.

Thankyou for the support you have shown us throughout our first three years in operation and we look forward to a bigger and better gallery to operate from in 2007.
